In mid September Thunder and I visited Bidjovagge in Norwegian Lapland together with our friend Tanja.

Bidjovagge is the site of an old copper-gold mine set in the midst of the barren wilderness.

The rocks and colours create a feeling of being on another planet.

Thunder enjoying some quality time with Tanja.

My beautiful boy turned six years this summer.

We found some interesting looking rocks in the area. I brought some home.

On the surrounding hills the blueberry shrubs were vibrant red!

Thunder had fun chasing lemmings that live in underground dwellings on the tundra.
There seem to be quite a few of them around this year.

As always when we go hiking, I stopped for a photo shoot. Thunder is an experienced model.

We saw a reindeer herd move at a distance, Thunder climbed up on a rock to get a better view.

My beautiful Thunder.

It's an amazing sense of freedom to wander aimlessly on the rolling hills.

If it was up to Thunder, he'd be out running on the tundra every day.
