The Alaskan Malamute is not a suitable dog for everyone and we do not recommend the breed for first-time dog owners. A good knowledge of canine behavior is necessary when training a breed as intelligent and self aware as the Alaskan Malamute. We encourage our puppy buyers to participate in training classes that teach positive training methods. In return, we are committed to providing continuous support and advice and will also provide opportunities where you can try different sports with your Mal.

Our puppies are born indoors and spend a lot of time in our home during the first few months of their lives. Also our adult dogs visit indoors on a regular basis and take part in all our daily activities. We regard our Mals as members of our family and expect our puppy buyers to treat their puppies the same way.

Nature and nurture play an equal part in establishing a good temperament and we are therefore very careful when selecting our breeding stock. We prefer only to use Malamutes in breeding that have a friendly attitude towards other dogs and once our puppies are born we put in a lot of effort to make sure they get the best possible start in life. From an early age our puppies are socialized with members of our friendly pack and learn to communicate and interact with dogs of different ages. We also attend socialization classes whenever we have the chance.

Everybody wants their dog to be healthy and we do our best to avoid the hereditary problems that exist within the breed. We also believe in the benefits that a quality diet, regular exercise and grooming provide. Due to our remote location, we show our Malamutes only on a limited basis but nevertheless take pride in having dogs that are in top condition at all times.

If you are interested in a puppy, we'd love to hear from you. However, since we only have one litter per year (sometimes two litters, and sometimes none) you may have to be on a waiting list before a suitable puppy is available.

Please note, that we do not sell puppies to people living in apartments, to persons under 25 years of age, or to families with children below the age of five. Malamutes are great with kids but raising a puppy is a full time commitment.
