 December is a magic time in Lapland. The sun lingers below the horizon, coloring the entire world in pink, lavender and blue. Today was a bit cold for sledding but we nevertheless went for a spin to the local post office to send some Christmas gifts - and of course Santa was there to pick em' up !  Doesn't the scenery look more like a painting than a photo?  Even a humble pine is transformed into a piece of art when clad in layers of shimmering snow.  The dogs enjoy our trips to the village as we pass many interesting things on the way. Right now, our village is busy with British and French Christmas holiday makers, so there's a lot of new stuff going on which make a visit even more exciting. And yes, the tourists love our "Huskies" !  Don't they make a pretty team? Return | |
