Between March 2009 and January 2010 we lost two of our beloved friends. It has taken a long time to accept that they're gone, as our hearts are still full of their presence. Lily, our very first Malamute and soulmate left us in her tenth year due to a knee injury that couldn't be repaired. Jeti, our first homebred dog, was still at the beginning of her life when she was diagnosed with cancer. This is a tribute page to two dear friends and fantastic dogs who will never be forgotten.

 We miss you Lily. You were truly the best dog anybody could ever have.  Out on a river adventure with Johann. Lily and Johann had a very special bond.  Lily was a strong female with a will of her own. We adopted Lily when she had already been through two homes and not only did she become our best friend, she also opened up the door to the wonderful world of Malamutes. Lily will always be our Nr 1 Girl.  Wait for us Lily, we'll soon go hiking together again.   Our beautiful Jeti had everything we look for in a Mal. She was a strong, brave, intelligent and extremely loyal girl. Jeti's personality was so vivid that we can still feel her presence today. This singleton girl was truly one of a kind.  Happy Jeti - there was never a quiet moment when she was around.  Out packing during spring 2009, always eager to do her job.  Jeti out on the trail with her buddy Tuisku. Two amazing sled dogs.  Next time we meet, we'll follow that trail, all the way across the mountains. Until then, sleep well little star. | ||
