 Thunder with his nightcap on, still sleepy after a stormy night.  There were plenty of reindeer on the trail.  A large herd on the move in the mountains is an impressive sight.  Thunder was always first to catch a whiff of reindeer and other animals on the trail.  Tuisku standing by a cairn that marks the trail. Among the inuit, this type of man-made stone landmark is known as an Inukshuk.  Big hike - big mountains.  This impressive mountain ridge resembled the back of a dragon.  Tuisku prefers to take the lead, both on on the sledding team and when out packing. More photos from our hike | ||
