 During the end of March Thunder, Tuisku and Gem completed the first leg toward their AMCA Working Team Dog Excellent titles, (WTDX), skijoring from Hetta to Pallas, distance of 110km (68.35 mi) - Woohoo!!!  One advantage of living where we do is that we can start the expedition directly from home.  The expedition took place in the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, the third largest national park in Finland. This is the fell massif which can see from our cabin in Hetta.  The snow conditions were great throughout the trip. Here the dogs are waking up after a night on stake-out.  The dogs were happy to be out on a multiday trip. Tuisku LOVES the adventure!  Tuisku and Gem pulled their pulk together.  While Thunder did a great job pulling his own pulk, containing our camping gear. See more photos from our trip | ||
